My precious little butterbean

Charley Olivia...I love you so much. I cannot wait to see your beautiful little face, ten little fingers and toes and hopefully a head full of hair.

You are my little miracle baby and I truly mean it.

Feeling you kick every day makes me smile.

I am laying here talking to you and letting you know everything is going to be alright.

I love you my precious little butterbean....you mean the absolute world to me.

The things I've learned through pregnancy:

  1. I've learned that every little thing you can possibly think of or do can make you cry
  2. I've learned that people give you their opinions on pregnancy even when you don't ask
  3. I've learned that everyone will not be happy about your pregnancy as much as you are
  4. I've learned that everything seems so far away
  5. I've learned that a nap is a must but you seem to never take them
  6. I've learned that even knowing your pregnant and not even showing you can still park in the expecting mother parking spot :0)
  7. I've learned that when you buy maternity jeans that the hips are always wide and they always sag in the front, why? I don't know.
  8. I've learned that everything Buttercup does for me needs to be appreciated
  9. I've learned that even though my appts for check up's are minor Buttercup will always be there even if it's to check the va-jay-jay.
  10. I've learned that people get so upset when others rub their belly but I don't mind it at all. Just don't touch my shirt if it's white!
  11. I've learned that when you go potty, the pee sounds so much thicker, louder, and sprays everywhere. lol.
  12. I've learned that even though you say something about your baby in the tummy someone will always have to disagree with what you feel or say it's too early
  13. I've learned that always being hungry is quite alright because now I have an excuse
  14. I've learned that not everyone will make you happy and little things will begin to bother you
  15. I've learned that you tend to lose your hearing and mind (forgetting where you've put something or what you were doing last)
  16. I've learned that most people don't care what you have to say when it comes to your baby
  17. I've learned that even though he leaves for work and will come back home it still sad being alone and him not being around for 8 hours or more. Makes me cry.
  18. I've learned that being to emotional cannot be blamed on pregnancy to some people.
Finally
  19.    I've learned that no one will love my child more than me and her daddy ...but especially me!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Charley Olivia...you are in mommy's tummy kicking away. It was a great day for mommy and you because she received so many baby items. From a bassinett, to bedding sheets, toys, bath items, baby bag and more. You are so blessed to have such two caring grandparents...they love you so much.

Mommy got so excited when you started kicking and called everyone over to feel. Grandma, your auntie Lanka, and cousin Nessa all felt you kick today and all they could do was smile.
You are mommy's precious little gift and she cannot wait to hold you in her arms.

Butterbean is a.....

~GIRL~

On November 24, 2010 at 10:30 a.m., mommy and daddy went to an ultrasound appointment to see how you were doing and to see if you were a boy or girl. As mommy and daddy sat in the waiting room and filled out paper work they began to get anxious. A lot of pregnant women every where possibly waiting on their ultrasounds as well. As mommy was sitting there and daddy was playing with his new phone, she began to get nervous because of the long wait and used the ladies room immediately... to their surprise they were called back immediately. Mommy and daddy looked at each other with amazement and went to straight the to their door as the nurse called mommy's name. "Go to the right, Room 5 please, straight ahead," nurse stated. When mommy and daddy got into the room daddy gave mommy a kiss and said he was excited. They waited less than a minute for the nurse to come back in and she immediately sat down and got to work on mommy's tummy.
The thoughts that were going through mommy's head were nervous thoughts. She just wanted to make sure everything was alright and wanted to hear the great news of what she was having and if you were healthy.
Ultrasound lady began to play with mommy's tummy shaking it up and trying to make you move. The nurse call you squirt many times throughout the process. She detailed everything so mommy and daddy could fully see what she was seeing. Mommy and daddy thought it was so amazing. Then she asked if they would like to know the gender and of course they said yes. They were anxious and couldn't wait another day.
Snapping pictures as mommy and daddy smiled...She said "It's a Girl." Mommy and daddy looked at each other and mommy started to cry. She was so amazed finding out you were a little girl by the name of Charley Olivia that they've picked out since the beginning. Time to think PINK!!! So amazed, they thought you were a boy this entire time. Sorry Charley. As the excitement continued the u/s was complete and the nurse gave mommy and daddy lots of pictures of you. They couldn't stop looking at them and then made the next appointment to see you again. Mommy and daddy got into the car and she started calling everyone.
EXCITED, EXCITED, EXCITED

This is what you look like:

Mommy and daddy love you so very much and cannot wait until the day you arrive.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Mommy went to grandma and grandpa's house to see the family. They were so excited to know you were a girl and that you were healthy. They immediately made sure mommy ate after driving all night. Mommy woke up early. Grandma and Grandpa made breakfast for her with a tall glass of orange juice. Then mommy went to class and helped grandma in the kitchen. Mommy was in charge of homemade cornbread...she did such a great job for her first time. She can't wait to make it again. Family and friends over, the entire house full, grandma whipped up some great dishes with the help of her daughters and they all chowed down. Mommy made sure she ate enough for you. Mommy hasn't been very happy lately and the number one person that makes her happy the most is you Charley. She now lives and breathes for you every moment, every day.
She will be the best mommy she can be for you regardless of anything she may go through...

Forever and Always

P.S. You look so beautiful in your ultrasound pictures Charley.

Thumper....

Butterbean...what are you doing in there? You have been kicking mommy since November 7, 2010. Is there enough room in there for you? Do you not like my singing? Do you not like when I am upset? Do you not like what I eat?
Well little thumper, I absolutely enjoy feeling your kicks because it's such an amazing feeling. Daddy and I went to an appointment on Nov. 11, 2010 to find out if you were a precious little girl or a handsome little boy. However, we didn't get to find out your gender and although the doc tried, daddy and I scheduled another appointment. How exciting. Seeing you move and hearing your kicks and heartbeat made me cry. You were kicking and punching like you were doing Karate. :0)
For a few days, I've been feeling you thump around in my tummy. I've been feeling really good but very sleepy. School is taking a toll on me and I cannot wait to be finished. Yes, your mommy is a straight A student.
Your grandma (oma) has been buying you some very nice things boppy pillow, security blankets, paci's, etc. She loves you already and cannot wait to see you.

This is you in my tummy at 15 weeks

This is you in my tummy at 16 weeks

I cannot wait to see you! I love you so much already.

14 weeks 4 days: Changes! (Talking to Butterbean)

Wow, 14 weeks and 4 days. Mommy can't believe how fast you're growing! Two weeks--Daddy will take mommy for her blood work and ultrasound. Boy, we can't wait!

Lately, mommy has been feeling a little sick when taking her prenates. So she decided to take them every other day rather than every day. Well daddy didn't like hearing that one bit and told her she  NEEDS TO TAKE THEM EVERY DAY! :0/
The other weekend you and mommy went on the 4 mile Breast Cancer Walk and had a great time. It was a little chilly but worth it. What a great feeling to know you were a part of the 15000 people walking... :0)

Mommy has been catching up on some reading out of the What To Expect, When You're Expecting book and she loves it! More than 1/2 way done. What a great read!

Also, last week she felt the flutters again (makes her so happy).

Ok, back to the 14 weeks. Mommy has grown a lot since the last time she posted. Most people say she's pretty huge to be only 14 weeks, what is normal? Everyone's pregnancy is different. Atleast mommy and daddy know you're doing just fine in that cozy place.

(Butterbean and Me at 14 week 3 days)

Mommy and daddy are happy when she knows every thing is going well. She loves when daddy rubs her tummy and gives you lots of kisses (it calms her and makes her feel relaxed). Boy, does it feel good.

P.S. Mommy and Daddy love you so much already...we can't wait to see your beautiful face!
And Daddy came home with a surprise for mommy and it made her so happy! (Beautiful white roses)

13 weeks

Today we are 13 weeks. How exciting to know that we are slowly but surely getting closer to the day we see our Butterbean.

Today has been such a lazy day. I wanted to go to the Air Show but didn't want to go by myself. So I decided to stay home, watch movies, and take pics. Here are a couple of pics I took today at 13 weeks.

12 weeks 6 days

It's been a minute since my last posting, sorry!!

Yesterday, I went to the store and bought the Intelligender (Gender Prediction Test)...I was so anxious to take the test but it said I must use morning urine for better results. So I was a little bummed to know I couldn't take the test until the morning. So I sat the box at the bathroom counter so I didn't have to make any stops in the kitchen or anything before using the restroom and possibly forgetting to take it.
This morning, I woke and took the Intelligender test: Pee in a cup, 20 ml syringe, insert into hole of capsule tube, place sticker on hole, swirl for 10 seconds, place on white surface, leave and do not touch for five minutes and the waiting begins. Wait...Wait...Wait...and waiting some more....

♥ ♥

This morning has been somewhat emotional and I've been feeling up and down...So many mixed emotions right now about so many things going on in my life right now. I'm trying to take it all in. Most of all I'm disappointed and hurt with the actions of some people. I'll get over it because I always do.

Oh, I forgot to mention. We went to the doctor's yesterday to check on our butterbean. 12 weeks and 5 days, I gained 8lbs thus far and the doc said that's excellent, no overweight and thats excellent, tummy feels excellent, and blood pressure is excellent. Then we listened to the heart beat which was somewhat hard to find but pitter-patter came through the mic., it was amazing. I just smiled from ear to ear. I was so happy :)

This is butterbean and I at 12 weeks 2 days:

Well, I know you all are anxious to know what the results were for the Intelligender Test I took this morning...The results of the test are.......the baby is a............

BOY  (according to the test)
**Of course, it's just for fun and the test isn't 100% but its pure fun**
Cannot wait until our scheduled ultra-sound at 16 weeks!

Fluttering Little Butterbean

Today I'm 11 weeks 3 days.
Feeling really good but have been a little sleepy!!
Anywho!! I had the most amazing feeling and I'm sure you all won't believe me...but it's very TRUE!
I know our child is the size of a fig right now, however, I had the most amazing feeling of fluttering in my stomach. It was like a butterfly flapping its wings on my tummy from the inside. I was in complete shock and it tickled me a little  (LOL). I told "Buttercup" that I felt this and he said it may just be gas...It was no gas, I know what gas is and how it feels (EWWW). It was like a feather just tickling the right side of my tummy.
So instead of feeling a little crazy I start my investigation on the internet...To my surprise, I'm not the only mommy that has been feeling this flutter at 11 week. Some have been feeling it at 7 weeks. I feel so much better knowing that it is what I felt and that it was our "Butterbean" being active! I tell you, it is a wonderful feeling that I really can't describe. I've explained it as a butterfly and a feather because I don't know what other visuals I can give you on how amazing it was to know our "Butterbean" is really doing some flips.

I can't wait to see our BUTTERBEAN

11 weeks

11 weeks in the making of "butterbean". How exciting it is to know our little one is the size of a fig. Amazing I know...the little hands will be opening and closing into fists and is already kicking and stretching. Although too small for me to feel I know my little one is growing because no longer can I suck in.
It's so amazing to know that this little "butterbean" is growing every day. I couldn't be more excited and anxious. Just knowing I will have a beautiful family of my own...something to look forward to every day.

Since being at home, I've been watching the Baby Story, Bringing Baby Home, etc. It's a little scary to think about going through everything it takes to have this baby but I will get ready eventually.

So I asked "Buttercup" if he could take a picture of my belly for my 11 weeks.

I hope you all enjoy and I can't wait to see many of you soon.

Boobalicious!

Today I woke up feeling truly blessed. Of course, I'm blessed to wake up every morning but today is a little different. I woke with so much love in my ♥ thinking about my life. My family, boyfriend-soon to be husband, and friends that are absolutely amazing and caring. Also, knowing I have this wonderful creation I love so much already, just floating around in my tummy, makes my life even better. This is no fairytale, this is a true story. I'm so in love with my man and my child "butterbean". This is the most amazing feeling I've ever had!

10 weeks 3 days

Well, well, well...to the point. Can you say BOOBALICIOUS? or how about CHECK OUT THAT RACK! Yes, I have went up an entire cup size since the last several weeks and new bras are now on my grocery/shopping list. With a petite body and a D-cup you would think I was about to tip over. They hurt, they're huge, uncomfortable, and most of all IN THE WAY!  I feel like they sit right under my chin and I don't go anywhere without the security of the bra. I'd hate for them to start sagging so
I strap those "babygirls" in before I go to bed, walk the dog and/or go to the store.  I know someone who likes them....lol. I heard they only get bigger from here....Oh boy!<---I hope that's what were having.

I took a picture at 10 weeks. I'm starting to gain a little pudge but I'm sure its just because of the GAS...lol.
But check it out...I don't get any smaller from here.

**Butterbean all snuggled in the tummy**

Feeling good, Feeling great!

Today, Sept 25, 2010, I woke up feeling great. I'm 10 weeks into my pregnancy and I think I'm one of the happiest mommy's-to-be right now. The morning sickness has seem to subside and for the past 5 days I haven't had a comfortable spot hanging over the toilet with the shower radio playing my tunes until I decide to stop hurling.
Milk hasn't been my best friend for the past couple of weeks but for some reason again, this week I absolutely enjoyed it.

I guess I should've started by saying when I found out I was preggo....Well I found out on August 19, 2010. For many years, I was told that I wasn't able to have kids. YES! The doctors were completely wrong. I'm proud to say that I am going to be a mommy. When I first took the test I was a little shocked so I continued to take the rest that were in the package (3) total BAM! they all had the correct lines of pregnancy. Still I couldn't believe it was true so I had to go to the hospital to make sure I wasn't just sick. Took another pregnancy test and BAM! I was prego. Then that didn't suffice. I immediately made an appointment at the Doctor's office and they made me tee-tee in a cup and BAM! I was pregnant. I guess still being in shock mode made me feel as many tests as I took, I can't be pregnant because my doctors before said SO!

**Yes the pics of the great invention of FIRST RESPONSE knowing five days before your missed period!
The BUTTERCUP (My love and Child's father) went out and bought me this fantastic book that our doctor recommended. I absolutely enjoy reading it!!**

Well back to today, I've gained a total of 2 lbs at 10 weeks. Doc said I need to gain 25lbs which I am terrified of gaining.

We are extremely excited that "butterbean" (our baby) is sitting well in my tummy.

**Our little butterbean sitting so cozy in mommy's tummy**

To all my family and friends, this is a way for you to all keep up with me daily, weekly, or monthly on the process of our little "butterbean". I know some of you are near and some of you are far...I love you all and I'm so happy you all can take this journey with us!
